This project focused on a complete rebranding for a small, local theatre in St. Augustine, Florida. The client was looking for a fresh, exciting design that looked modern, sophisticated, while still conveying traditional theatre themes. The only other direction for the project was that they preferred the Art Deco art style. After researching some theatre architecture (specifically Miami, Art Deco Mecca of Florida), I decided on a lime shape done in art deco fashion. During sketching, I realized that a staggering of stage lights fit perfectly to both define the lime shape, as well as harken back to the name, "Limelight." The logo also needed standard information (location, established date), so a marquee was added to complete the logo.
